How I gone cold turkey on alcohol. 6 months experiment with brain score
The post was done as a special declaration to my mates from Dopamine. But I think it will be the right solution to share this charts with all people. Especially for those who still have doubts like to drink or not to drink :)
If you feeling good having a couple drinks occasionally - don`t take it hard ) I quit drinking alcohol when I realized that during the last 7 years I had an alcohol-vocations only in case of antibiotic course. And trying to remember my last party when I felt happiness by drinking I noticed that it was only when someone hustled some drugs)) So that was the rings to think about and make up some conclusions about my experience my needs and wishes. So all this story is about my choice and my specific perception of alcohol.

More than 3 months ago I have gone cold turkey on alcohol.
During the last 6 months, I measured some metrics like:- mental agility
- emotional intelligence
- memory
- verbal intelligence/language (English - not my native one so I measured it)
- problem-solving
I used the Peak application. The game app I accidentally tried and then bought a pro version. (Peak`s marketers, you can find me on LinkedIn to offer me some money for the product placement :)))
Let`s have a look through the metrics of how I was doing before and after sobriety.
Of course, brain productivity doesn`t equal happiness. But the lack of problem-solving skill doesn`t make you happier - because of problems that are staying unresolved. And unresolved problems provoke stress. And if you, not enough focused on what and why you feel - your chance to stay in a good mood becomes lower and lower each time the shit happens. But it happens whether you want it or not.
Some notes that we should take before you make any conclusions:
1. In October I started my English upper-intermediate course at Space Deer Anti-School of English, Kyiv. That`s the growth factor number one. So my language skills growth was impacted rather in regards to my teacher Darina and group mates.
2. Have a look at emotion`s chart during the first 1,5 month of abstinence. Hell yeah, folks, that was like that. Special thanks to my therapist Zlata Zankovetska (МИГИС) and psychoanalyst Sergey Ryasenko, boys and girls from therapy groups I visited
3. I used the Peak application to measure my performance. And some games I just don`t like. So some inaccuracy is possible but who cares? I`m fine :)Afterwords
You know, if I`ll keep my sobriety till the end of the 2018th year - there is the trophy waiting for me. The bottle of Glenmorangie :) Andrew Povoroznyk betted that to support me :) ... or just for fun or the both.
At the and of the story I`ll tell you that I`m still hesitating - should I drink my trophy? I really feel much better and I don't want to change my conscious the way alcohol does.
